Basic and not bad, but very poor value for money
Positive: Nice location in a beautiful part of the Alps, well stocked kitchen, basics that you would need for a short stay. Self-checkin, which is nice.
Negative: Having stayed in a chalet the two nights before, it was quite clear to me that this is poor value for money. There is only under floor heating, and even after 12 hours the place was not very warm. If you've been in a place with underfloor heating, you know it takes a while to work. I was there in summer but the temperature plummeted to -4C and we had snow. I had to put on all my warm clothes to stay warm in bed. Just having a small space heater would make all the difference for people coming on short stays, especially as there also isn't a bath to warm up in, and no heat lamp in the bathroom. This might be better during winter if people are staying more frequently, so there is time for the place to warm up. I certainly wouldn't want to have a bunch of wet snow gear here. The bed was okay for a night but not very comfortable, and the fit out of this apartment is quite low quality if you've seen or stayed in other places in Dinner Plain. Add to that the fact that even basic things like coffee and tea weren't provided, you have to strip your own bed, etc and it just isn't good value for money. I travel here frequently for work in the high country, and can't see myself staying again unless the price is much cheaper than a chalet. As noted above, small tweaks could really make the place much better, but if you are able to get a chalet with your budget, do it. As compared to the cozy 2 bedroom chalet with a spa bath, fire place, full service kitchen, etc, even more centrally located, I only saved $30. It just wasn't worth it for me. It's wild to charge $27 for bed linens on top of $252 for 30 m2 apartment; so I overall I paid almost $280 in the off season, as compared to $310 the same weekend for a 150m2 2 bedroom chalet with everything included and much higher quality amenities.
